Aunt Julia's Hors D'Oeuvres


Appetizer, Beths Recipes, Christmas, Dips and Appetizers


1 8oz package cream cheese

1/2 cup ground walnuts

2 or 3 teaspoons mayonnaise

1 Onion (size of walnut) finely chopped

2 swigs Worcestershire sauce

2lbs loaf Pepperidge Farm Bread very thin or thin sandwich


Mix together all ingredients, except bread. Cut bread crusts off and cut bread with a biscuit cutter. Spread mixture between 2 bread rounds ** Melt butter in skillet or griddle. (Use butter not spray) Brown rounds in butter and serve warm.


Aunt Julia used to make these for every Christmas gathering we had for the Lee side of the family. It would be her family, Uncle Ray's family, Nana and PopPop, and John's (Granpop) family.
Very fond memory of Christmas time.
