Beth's Lasagne

1 lb sausage (hot or sage)

1 lb hamburger

2-3 jars or one large jar ragu spaghetti sauce (chunky mushroom)

1 16oz tub ricotta cheese

1/3 cup parmesan cheese

1 egg

3 cup mozzarella cheese

1 box lasagna noodles

1 cup water


Brown meats in large fry pan, drain off fat. Add 2 jars of sauce. Set aside.

In mixing bowl combine egg, ricotta, and 2 Cups Mozarrella. whip with wire wisk. Can add some parsely for color.

LAYERS: add some of the meat sauce to cover bottom of 13X9" greased pan. Add uncooked noodles in a layer, you may need to break some to make it fit. Add another layer of meat sauce. Add 1/2 of the cheese mixture. Layer noodles, meat sauce, and cheese mixture. Top with one more layer of noodles and some sauce from last jar and top with remaining mozzarella cheese.

Add 1 cup water to one of the jars of sauce and shake Carefully pour it around the edges of pan and a little on top, it will be very full.

Cover with aluminum foil. (I spray the aluminum foil with non-stick spray before putting it on so it doesn't stick and pull the cheese off)
Bake for 45 minutes covered, @375° and then remove the foil and bake for 15 more minutes.
