Beth's Spicy Christmas Nuts

2 1/4 cups Assorted salted nuts, including peeled peanuts, cashews, Brazil nuts, hazelnuts, walnuts, pecans and whole unpeeled almonds

2 Tbs coarsely chopped fresh rosemary leaves (needs to be fresh)

1/2 tsp cayenne pepper

2 tsp dark brown sugar (Dark Brown is best for these)

1 Tbs unsalted butter, melted


Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Spread the nuts out on a baking sheet. Toast in the oven until light golden brown, about 10 minutes.

In a small pan, combine the rosemary, cayenne, dark brown sugar, and butter. Stir until butter is melted and ingredients are combined. Can use microwave.

Add toasted nuts to a large mixing bowl, pour melted butter mixture over nuts.

Thoroughly toss the toasted nuts in the spiced butter.

Spread out coated nuts on a sheet of foil or another cookie sheet to cool.

Package in gift containers or one large container.

And once you eat these, you will never want to stop.
