2+ Cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
2/3 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp vanilla
2/3 Cup fine sugar
2/3 Cup butter
1 Cup currants
Combine dry ingredients in a bowl.
Beat butter, sugar, add eggs and vanilla mix well.
Add dry ingredients mix well.
Now: add enough flour by hand to make of rolling consistency.
Roll out on floured surface, cut cookies out into 2" rounds.
Fry on medium hot griddle for 3-4 minutes each side.
After cooking roll each cookie in fine sugar.
Can be put in stacks to store.
